Description:

The post holder will oversee the delivery of the Forensic Psychiatry training Programme in NHSE England North West. It will cover both the East (formerly North West) and West (formerly Mersey) part of the Scheme.
The post holder will support the Head of School in the Strategic Development of the North West School of Psychiatry and contribute to supporting the School Operational Programme.
The post holder will be a member of the School Board and Forensic Psychiatry Speciality Training committee.
Please note this is a 3-year secondment with potential to extend to a maximum of three years, subject to mutual agreement.
To support the Head of School in managing trainee underperformance with the support of the Lead Associate Dean for the specialty, in line with the NHSE North West Office Doctors and Dentists Review Group/Trainees Requiring Enhances Support framework.
To attend the Specialty School Board and support the Head of School in facilitating appropriate engagement from Training Programme Directors and other stakeholders.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

Work in collaboration with Head of School of Psychiatry to develop and implement a Medical Workforce Strategy which supports the recruitment and retention of Forensic Psychiatry Trainees and to promote Health and well-being
