Description:
The Training Programme Director in the North West School of Radiology
will support the Head of School in Strategic Development and Training
Delivery within the School of Radiology.
The post holder will have a designated portfolio within the school to
include: pastoral support of an allocated ST year group, inductions and
mid-point reviews, ARCP Chair, exam support & TRES, membership of
the Specialty Training Committee (STC) and engage in trainer
development activities.
This is a 3 years secondment extendable to a maximum of three years,
subject to mutual agreement
TPDs will also have an individual designated area of responsibility which
can include: Rotational allocations & sub specialty interviews; LTFT
Champion; Educational Supervisor Lead; Chair of STC; Trainer Support
Regular engagement, participation & attendance (both in person &
online) at Board Meetings, STCs and Away Days is expected.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

Work in collaboration with Head of School of Radiology to develop and implement a Medical Workforce Strategy which supports the recruitment and retention of Radiology Trainees with focus on the regional education programs.
