Description:
The Training Programme Director in Restorative Dentistry will support the Head of School in the Strategic Development of the School of Dentistry.
The post holder will lead on the development of the School’s Recruitment and Retention Strategy and contribute to supporting the School Operational Programme.
The post holder will be a member of the School Board.
The post will be an initial 3-year secondment, with an option for extension upon discussion
Work in collaboration with Associate Dental Deans to develop and implement a Dental Workforce Strategy which supports the recruitment and retention of Restorative Dentistry Trainees.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

- To provide expert advice on Specialty specific matters to the Scheme.
- To support the Associate Denal Dean to ensure appropriate systems for Assessment, Rotational Management, Trainee Supervision & Support and other functions within the Specialty.
- To promote or lead work programmes on behalf of the Specialty.
- To create and promote shared learning opportunities to increase effective inter-professional working across the Team.
