Training Supervisor

Overview:
Gibbon Packing, LLC, an American Foods Group Company has an opportunity for a Training Supervisor at our Gibbon, NE plant.

As our Training Supervisor, you will:

• Complete the personnel part of training (policies, benefits, attendance, etc).
• Complete required videos.
• Facility the transitions during the training.
• Ensure new hires are getting hearing tests during orientation.
• Facility transition from orientation to the floor trainers.
• Supervise the floor trainings.
• Meet regularly with the floor trainers to discuss employees and their progress.
• Serve as a liaison between the employees and the supervisors.
• Meet regularly with the superintendents/general foreman to identify training gaps and strategically find out how to fill those gaps.
• Meet regularly with the trainers and the supervisors to discuss any concerns with the new hires.
• Create and maintain a qualification list for each position to be shared with the superintendents/general foreman.
• Review positions list with superintendents/general foreman to identify gaps and strategically find a way to fill those gaps.
• Along with the supervisors, communicate hiring needs to HR and recruiters.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED):

• Must be able to effectively communicate in English and Spanish (speak, read, and write).
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work with all levels of management and withstand long periods in cold, warm, wet, or damp environments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 years training experience in a further processing operation and at least 1 year supervisory or management experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Good communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good typing and computer skills.
• Ability to perform consistent, accurate work with minimal direction and work successfully as part of a team.
