Description:
About the role…:
Are you an experienced Transaction Tax Manager looking for your next challenge? Do you love finding solutions to clients problems, adding value to their business and removing the stress?
Our Transaction Tax team in the south are growing, and we’re currently seeking a Transaction Tax Manager to join them on their journey.
ABOUT THE DAY TO DAY…
As a Transaction Tax Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the provision of tax due diligence and TT advisory services in respect of a diverse range of targets and clients. You’ll get stuck into a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities, including;
- Actively managing complex tax due diligence, structuring and advisory projects
- Leading on some calls, particularly regular/recurring project update calls and or presenting findings to clients which are based on previously provided written advice
- Undertaking a “review” not “do” role. Delegate and review junior members prior to seeking senior sign off
- Running bolt-on and standard due diligence projects with autonomy and starting to take on more complex projects with increasing involvement
- Assist senior members of the team with VDD reviews and more complex structuring and advisory projects
- One of the main points of contact for clients on projects, collaborating with clients to address tax related queries or concerns
- Prepare sound tax advice using tax technical knowledge on a range of projects
- Contribute to the development and improvement of our ways of working alongside senior members of the team.
- Potential to manage a team of trainees or Assistant Managers - coaching and supporting the juniors to help with their technical and professional development
The role will also be designed to help you grow and develop through your career journey. With access to a wide range of knowledge to help push yourself further - from Managers to Partners, the team are always happy to support you.
About you…:
At Cooper Parry, we’re in it together. All we ask of our people is that they play all in. You’ll continuously strive to keep learning – whether you’re a trainee or a Partner – and you’ll be brave, stepping out of your comfort zone to tackle new challenges. Above all, be nice. A simple notion, but an irreplaceable part of what makes CP, CP.
In addition to those core values, as a Transaction Tax Manager, you should be/have;
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CTA) with a strong background in tax
- Excellent technical knowledge of UK tax legislation and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality tax services
- A proactive approach to work, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to lead a team/role modelling and coaching
- A commitment to continuous learning and development
About us…:
