Description:
Who we are looking for
A Transfer Agency specialist, at Associate level ,to join our Transfer Agency team. You will be responsible for collecting and processing complex data, exercising due diligence as well as reviewing and implementing strict data quality processes.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.
What you will be responsible for
You’ll be working within the UK Transfer Agency department. You will be accurately delivering high quality service both internally and externally by incorporating experience and industry knowledge in the daily workflow:
- Initially you will be part of a larger project team in establishing a new Transfer Agency team in the UK. You will contribute towards operational readiness of the new function and be expected to transition to a functional role once the project goes live
- Promote risk awareness, assessment and control within the department
- Communicate relevant information as appropriate up and down the line and escalate where necessary
- Work closely with the other departments within State Street locally and Transfer Agency Units globally
- Act as an effective team player.
- Undertake daily processes across Transfer Agency for example, Deal input, Register Updates, Investor Servicing, cash movements and reconciliation
- Identify process efficiencies
- Ensure business standards and client deadlines are met on a consistent basis
- Build and maintain internal network of contacts To exercise due care and diligence, ensuring the areas the role is responsible for are organised and controlled;
- To comply with the regulatory regimes in which State Street operates, with particular consideration given to relevant AML-KYC, Client Asset (CASS), Conduct of Business, COLL, Dispute Resolution, Data Protection and Financial Crime Prevention regulations, as appropriate to the above role
- Adhere to procedures in relation to all tasks

Education & Preferred Qualifications/experience
- A minimum of 2 years of Transfer Agency experience in a large, global financial services firm
- IOC is desirable, or a willingness to complete
- Understanding of regulatory complaint handling requirements, with prior exposure to the handling & recording of Consumer complaint cases, beneficial.
- Awareness of Anti-Money Laundering regulations and the current regulatory environment
- Good knowledge of current trends and technical issues impacting the financial services particularly within Transfer Agency
- Good working knowledge of MS Office suite, especially an advanced level of Excel
- Excellent communication skills - Fluent in English
- Display thorough understanding of the following key tasks and the related regulatory rules:-
- Dealing
- Settlements
- Reconciliations
- Investor Servicing
- Cash Management
- Registration
- Detailed understanding of procedural, technical and product requirements within Transfer Agency business
- Excellent administrative and business support skills, with the ability to multi-task and to work calmly under pressure.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational, planning and co-ordination skills.
