Overview:
One of the world‘s foremost names in luxury hospitality and a prime development operator requires an additional resource in the in-house tax team. Growth and complexity is fuelling the need for commercial and tax technical support in the area of transfer pricing.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transfer Pricing Specialist to join our team, reporting to the Global Head of Tax and being as well a member of the Global Legal Team. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing the transfer pricing policy across multiple jurisdictions whilst ensuring compliance with local regulations and laws.
Additionally, the specialist will provide guidance on transfer pricing matters, analyze financial and economic data, and develop alternative pricing strategies to achieve optimal tax efficiency and minimize risk exposure. The specialist must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
This position is open to be based in either our corporate office in London,UK or Zug, Switzerland.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads the preparation of high quality, consistent and cost-efficient transfer pricing documentation for the Aman Group worldwide.
  • Collaborates with Tax, Finance and Treasury to guarantee that documentation adequately reflects the group’s policy (current or envisaged) and mitigates any potential litigation/controversy risks.
  • Collaborates effectively with other stakeholders, within Finance/Legal/Treasury to improve data collection processes and guarantee coherence between documentation and operational implementation.
  • Can find solutions for complex problems in a technically sound yet pragmatic way.
  • Understands the potential for process automation through technology for the facilitation of the TP compliance work.
  • Understands interdependencies between TP and other areas, such as broader direct tax, indirect tax and operational expansion/development and optimisation needs.
  • Presents and communicates to senior stakeholders on complex TP concepts and operational implementation.
  • Manages external support services, in line with available resources and existing priorities
  • Maintains/optimizes intercompany templates and contract management system.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in economics or finance.
  • 5+ years of experience in TP/FSI either at a Big4 consultancy firm or in-house with global scope.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Solid understanding of transfer pricing rules and accounting.
  • Team player and excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Project management experience and demonstrated ability to work independently (good work ethic, maturity, and personal initiative), as well as ability to work as a member of a highly collaborative team.
  • Ability to think independently, solve problems/proactively propose solutions and be result orientated.
  • Strong quality mindset, proactive, ability to work independently, deal with all levels of management and external contacts.
  • Clear understanding of the importance of defining and documenting (standardized) processes, with enablement of technology solutions in mind.
  • Ability to legally live/work in Switzerland/UK without the need for sponsorship.
