Job Description
Cambridgeshire Constabulary are seeking to recruit a transferee surveillance motorcyclist who wishes to join our dedicated force surveillance team.
As a surveillance officer, every day is different. As part of a dedicated covert team, you will provide the Force with a key investigative resource, targeting some of the counties highest profile cases and organised crime groups. The team must blend into the natural environment to gather information and intelligence about the subjects.
The role is challenging and you will need to be very flexible due to the unpredictable nature of working hours. The successful applicant will be a qualified advanced surveillance motorcyclist with relevant experience in a covert role.
A targeted variable payment is currently applicable for this role of £2k per annum (paid quarterly).
In addition, you will be required to undertake and pass SC Vetting.
If you require any further information, please contact Detective Inspector Jim Donington (jim.donington@cambs.police.uk), Detective Sergeant Pete Wylie (peter.wylie@cambs.police.uk) or Detective Sergeant Sean Spencer (sean.spencer@cambs.police.uk).
If you feel you have the necessary attributes to join the team then please provide a 500 words expression of interest, explaining your motivation to join the Cambridgeshire Constabulary Force Surveillance Team and evidence of the minimum entry requirements, as stipulated in the attached role profile.
Successful applicants will be invited for an interview.
