ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Business Transformation Director - Next Generation Software Flow to lead and drive the development and implementation of our Next Generation Software Business Flow within BCSS. This critical role will oversee the end-to-end transformation of software flows across BCSS, working closely with key stakeholders, including GFGO and BNEW and being part of the cross-functional Software Flow Team. The successful candidate will lead cross-functional teams to collect requirements, align on key milestones, and drive effective collaboration to achieve transformation goals. This individual will also serve as the Business Flow Driver for BCSS, coordinating all activities and governance processes to ensure seamless delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.

THE SKILLS YOU BRING:

  • Software Expertise: At least 10 years of experience in the software business, particularly in development and sales, with demonstrated success in driving software business flow transformation in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Recurring Business Model Expertise: Proven experience in recurring software business models and delivery frameworks, such as cloud-native, CI/CD, and agile development methodologies.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership capabilities with experience in managing cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and aligning diverse stakeholders toward common goals.
  • Change Management: Ability to align business flow transformation objectives with strategic business goals, driving measurable improvements in efficiency, automation, and delivery.
  • Change Leadership and Resilience: Demonstrated ability to lead and drive change management programs in complex, matrixed organizations, with a proactive and resilient mindset to overcome resistance and internal barriers.
  • Strategic Stakeholder Management and Influence: Proven ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics, build strong relationships, and influence stakeholders at all levels to gain support and drive the adoption of new business models and transformation initiatives.
  • Governance Experience: Experience in establishing and leading governance functions, such as operational steering groups, to drive decision-making and accountability.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate between departments and secure alignment.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, focusing on addressing dependencies, risks, and issues in complex transformation programs.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of enterprise software solutions (SalesForce, SAP, software asset management), cloud-native architectures, and digital delivery models.
  • Relevant Certifications: Certification in program management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or digital transformation methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus). Certification in change and improvement management (Agile, Lean, or Design Thinking) is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Software Flow Leadership: Lead and drive all software business flow development and implementation activities from the BCSS, ensuring alignment with Ericsson’s strategic direction.
  • Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Manage a cross-functional team to gather and align requirements from various BCSS departments, including Solution Areas, Sales & Commercial Management, Service Delivery, also including Software development, portfolio and sales teams.
  • Collaboration with Key Stakeholders: Work closely with BNEW, GFGO and Market Area stakeholders to harmonize software business flow objectives and coordinate efforts for successful execution.
  • Business Flow Driver for BCSS: Act as the primary coordinator and driver of activities related to the software flow transformation, ensuring adherence to timelines, milestones, and business goals.
  • Ericsson Portfolio Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Ericsson’s software and services offerings, including key solutions, product architecture, and the strategic direction of BCSS within the broader Ericsson ecosystem.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Commitment: Structure and secure stakeholder communication, support, and commitment for successfully executing transformation activities.
  • Requirements Collection and Alignment: Oversee the collection of requirements across BCSS departments and Market Area functions, ensuring that all relevant needs are captured and prioritized for execution.
  • Governance and Steering: Lead the BCSS Software Business Flow Operational Steering Group, establishing governance processes and ensuring effective decision-making and accountability.
  • Recurring Business Models: Champion the integration of recurring software business and delivery models, with considering the evolution of cloud-native, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
  • Strategic Roadmap Input: Provide input to the overall strategic roadmap, setting execution priorities in collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive key program initiatives.
