Description:

This role is responsible for enabling and managing the coordination and alignment of DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) initiatives that strive to achieve meaningful transformation beyond mere legislative compliance. These initiatives are carefully aligned with the Group’s People & Organizational Effectiveness (OE) strategy, ensuring a holistic and impactful approach to fostering an inclusive environment. This role is also dedicated to creating awareness through various channels, bringing important DEIB conversations to the forefront. Additionally, it involves project management and facilitating the effective implementation of action plans to bring these initiatives to life.
Qualifications: A business Degree is required. Honours level education is advantageous.
5 -10 years+ experience in a Transformation role.
DEIB principles and frameworks.
Responsibilities: Transformation, Strategy and Implementation
1. In partnership with Group Exco, review and update company Transformation Strategy to include relevant progress within company and ensure the strategy remains relevant and aligned to the OE strategy.
2. Develop clear and realistic implementation plans aligned to the Transformation Strategy.
3. Work with relevant stakeholders to implement plans and initiatives leading to transformation aligned with the strategy.
4. Anticipate major roadblocks to achieving transformation goals and prepare possible measures to counter them.
5. Guide the successful implementation of B-BBEE projects as relevant to the Transformation strategy
6. Research and maintain best practice DEIB principles & frameworks aligned to strategy
Reporting
1. Report on implementation of DEIB initiatives
2. Create a dashboard of relevant metrics, to track impact of various initiatives on talent management efforts & transformation in the Group.
Employment, Training and Succession Planning
1. Support the identification and review of successors to ensure alignment with the Transformation Strategy.
2. Contribute to regular updates to succession plans with a focus on alignment with Transformation Strategy.
3. Work with the Talent Acquisition Manager and hiring managers to ensure recruitment strategies attract candidates that help company achieve its Transformation strategy.
4. Partner with the Learning and Development Manager to ensure adequate training programmes and initiatives are available to support potential successors and all other associates.
5. Support new business development initiatives with transformation and/or succession strategies, both internally and for any other involved stakeholder.
6. Identify internal and external work assignments for further learning when applicable.
General Tasks
1. Liaise with external consultants.
2. Build strategic relationships with relevant stakeholders, including developing relationships with Black Business groups to identify potential new equity suppliers to company.
3. Deliver within allocated budget
4. Any other tasks as agreed with line manager
