Morrison Hershfield’s Transit Group provides planning, design and construction administration services for bus rapid transit, light rail transit, commuter rail, subway, stations, maintenance facilities and state of good repair projects. We are currently seeking an experienced Contract Coordinator to complement our transit team in the GTHA. The Transit Subways Project Manager will play a lead role in the delivery of large multi-year projects for clients. Assignments may include the requirement to work from the client’s premises in the GTHA.
Amazing opportunity to join our project team dedicated to Subway Extensions in the City of Toronto. This is a long-term role with the MH now Stantec team within our expanding Transit group. As a project manager and technical lead, you’ll collaborate closely with the Client and Technical Advisory team on this transformative city project.

Responsibilities:

• Managing multi-disciplinary project teams
• Transit station design experience required
• Metrolinx or TTC project experience an asset
• Preparing and managing project budgets, work plans and schedules
• Communicating with clients, agencies, stakeholders and the public
• Overseeing complex evaluations of planning and design alternatives
• Preparing correspondence, reports and proposals
• Staff development and mentoring
• Supporting business development and proposal preparation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture
• Registered Architect or Engineer in Ontario (or able to obtain immediate registration)
• Minimum 15+ years of experience with managing large scale projects
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) applications
• Demonstrated ability as a project manager of multi-disciplinary project teams specifically related to assessments and functional / preliminary and detail design assignments
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with clients and external stakeholders
• Experience with business development and proposal preparation
• Possesses good oral and written communication skills
• Strong collaboration and leadership skills
• Able to work at a project office near Yonge Street and Finch 3 days per week (usually Tue, Wed and Thu) most weeks
