Description:
THE VACANCY
Do you want to be part of a transformational team at one the most rapidly improving schools in Salford, with a drastic increase in Progress 8 and attainment scores over recent years? Would you like to join an Academy with an extremely positive staff survey response around Leadership support, alignment, vision and investment from staff as well as a Leadership Team who understand that work-life balance is important to getting the best outcomes for all?
Rated ‘Good’ in all areas by OFSTED (July 2023) the academy has a relentless focus on high standards in all that we do. Built on the values of ambition, respect and resilience we have a strong and growing reputation in our local community for very high expectations from our students in terms of behaviour and respect, whilst striving hard to be inclusive and ensure that the students are aspirational for their futures.
We are looking to recruit a Transition and Community Lead who will plan and lead transition activities and interventions across Years 4 to 7 for individuals, small groups and agreed whole year cohorts. Project work will include ensuring the curriculum is engaging and appropriate for all learners alongside projects that support student attainment, well-being and engagement within the wider school. Success will be measured on increasing first choice numbers of students applying to SCA and attendance / evaluations of transition activities.
The role will support the SENCo and DSL to enable the smooth transition of the most vulnerable Year 6 pupils from our feeder primary schools to The Albion Academy.
You will plan and lead the organisation of community events within The Albion Academy. This will involve the leadership of community events such as Christmas, Easter and Summer fairs, parental events and summer schools.
