As a central agency, the French Language Services Directorate (FLSD) supports, collaborates with and empowers the Government of Yukon departments and other public bodies to serve and inform the public in French. We foster strong partnerships with departments and stakeholders to improve access to government services in French. We aim at building bilingual capacities across government by providing client-focused services such as translation, training, advice, and operational support.

The Bilingual Communications Unit is seeking a professional with strong organizational, multitasking and planning skills who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment. At the center of our daily operations, you will play a vital role in all aspects of translation project management, making strategic recommendations on scope and deliverables, coordinating internal and external resources and monitoring and tracking the progress of large-scale projects.
You will have the opportunity to leverage translation-related technologies and support the implementation of innovative solutions. Your ingenuity and proactivity in problem-solving will be a great asset to improve our translation-related processes, workflow, and tools to gain efficiency.

Essential Qualifications

Completion of post-secondary education or professional credentials in project management, information technology, web development, communications, translation, or a related field.
Experience managing projects, including prioritizing, and assigning tasks to team members, estimating time for completion, and identifying required resources.
Experience and proficiency using various computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud).
Experience using translation management systems (e.g., FlowFit) is considered an asset.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
