Description:

The Translational Research Office (TRO) are looking to recruit a Translational Partnerships Manager in Global Health at Oxford, UK. The TRO sits within the Medical Sciences Division and supports early-stage translational programmes with high potential for clinical, commercial and/or global impact in low-middle income countries. The TRO assists Oxford employed academics and clinicians in advancing their research discoveries, through appropriate translational funding steps, on a long-term trajectory towards development into new therapeutics, devices and clinical techniques.
The post-holder in this new role within the TRO will play a critical role in understanding and mapping translational global health efforts of Oxford academics based in Oxford and across the overseas research units. The post-holder will strategically align researchers and forge new collaborations and support their translational research programmes towards creating clinical impact. Building relationships will be key as well as establishing an excellent communication strategy to raise awareness of funding, resources, expertise, infrastructure and translational support available to the network. The post-holder is also expected to provide support in strategic capacity building through training and development. This role requires a combination of strategic vision, collaborative skills, and practical experience to foster effective partnerships that can drive meaningful progress and maximise potential to create impact in global health.
This is a fixed term post, initially for 24 months. The role is available as a full time post, but candidates wishing to work part-time (at least 0.6 FTE/22.5 hours per week) are welcome to apply. The team operates hybrid working with time split between the TRO Office in Boundary Brook House (currently a minimum 1 day/week on Tuesdays) and remote working. If offered on a part-time basis, the team can offer flexibility over the exact hours and days worked.

As an employer, we genuinely care about our employees’ wellbeing and this is reflected in the range of benefits that we offer including:

  • Employee Assistant Programme (EAP)
  • An excellent contributory pension scheme
  • 38 days annual leave
  • A comprehensive range of childcare services
  • Family leave schemes
  • Cycle loan scheme
  • Discounted bus travel and Season Ticket travel loans

You will be required to upload a covering letter/supporting statement, CV and the details of two referees as part of your online application.
The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Tuesday 27th August 2024. We expect to hold interviews week commencing 9th September 2024 which are likely to take place online.
