TRANSLATOR FRENCH-TO-ENGLISH (15 MONTH CONTRACT)

We are looking for a French-to-English Translator to join our Translation team at Head Office on a 15-month contract.
As a French-to-English Translator, you will support the team in their daily translation and proofreading tasks, which include newsletters, press releases, training guides, internal and external communications, job descriptions and more.

We are looking for a French-to-English Translator to join our Translation team at Head Office on a 15-month contract. As a French-to-English Translator, you will support the team in their daily translation and proofreading tasks, which include newsletters, press releases, training guides, internal and external communications, job descriptions and more.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Translating and proofreading internal and external documents for different departments including Marketing, Human Resources, Sales, Loss Prevention, etc.;
- Partnering and working with internal departments to edit documents to convey the right message according to content;
- Reviewing documents with internal departments on language and translation standards;
- Updating texts, as required, and offering editorial support;
- Acting as a resource person on language, translation, and editing-related questions (in English);
- Researching terminology.
TO QUALIFY FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST HAVE:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Translation;
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role;
- Perfect command of written English and thorough knowledge of the French language; Strong written and oral communication skills, in English and French;
- Proven ability to juggle many projects at once and have a sense of urgency;
- Social media savvy (particularly TikTok and Instagram);
- A self-starter who works well with little supervision;
- Ability to write clearly and concisely;
- Great organizational and prioritizing skills;
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Trados.
