Description:
TRANSMISSION REQUIREMENT ENGINEER
Your responsibilities
- System, concept & function definitions for transmissions, electrified transmissions and electrified propulsion systems (E-Axle / electric drive units EDU)
- Development, application and improvement of simulation models and plant models for the hybrid and electrical components
- Definition and evaluation of requirements for above systems, following AVL specific as well as international automotive standards (e.g. ISO26262, ASPICE, KGAS
- Specification of test cases and validation approaches, alignment with other AVL teams
- Verification of the system and simulation models within SIL, HIL & vehicle tests
- Close cooperation with other product related skill teams in AVL, such as simulation and calculation teams, software development, powertrain system and design teams
Your profile
- Msc Degree in Mechanical engineering, Transport engineering, Electrical engineering or similar equal
- Theoretical background of transmission, E-Axle/EDU and powertrain (in terms of both mechanics and electrical hardware)
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Matlab, or similar)
- Knowledge in controls engineering and model-based development with Matlab/Simulink
- Structured and organized working style
- Good communication skills in English, willingness to learn German (supported by AVL)
