Description:

TRANSMISSION REQUIREMENT ENGINEER

Your responsibilities

  • System, concept & function definitions for transmissions, electrified transmissions and electrified propulsion systems (E-Axle / electric drive units EDU)
  • Development, application and improvement of simulation models and plant models for the hybrid and electrical components
  • Definition and evaluation of requirements for above systems, following AVL specific as well as international automotive standards (e.g. ISO26262, ASPICE, KGAS
  • Specification of test cases and validation approaches, alignment with other AVL teams
  • Verification of the system and simulation models within SIL, HIL & vehicle tests
  • Close cooperation with other product related skill teams in AVL, such as simulation and calculation teams, software development, powertrain system and design teams

Your profile

  • Msc Degree in Mechanical engineering, Transport engineering, Electrical engineering or similar equal
  • Theoretical background of transmission, E-Axle/EDU and powertrain (in terms of both mechanics and electrical hardware)
  • Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Matlab, or similar)
  • Knowledge in controls engineering and model-based development with Matlab/Simulink
  • Structured and organized working style
  • Good communication skills in English, willingness to learn German (supported by AVL)
