JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Transplant Manager serves as a clinician and clinical manager for the organ transplant program, potential and actual recipients of transplants as well as living donor candidates. Promotes Patient Safety by assisting in the development of departmental policies, developing, and maintaining Quality Improvement in the Transplant and Living Donor programs as well as participating in all UNOS, CMS ODH, Joint Commission requirements, audits, reports, and process changes. Will also assist the Transplant Administrator in the oversight of Transplant staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
  • BSN required.
  • Recent clinical experience in specialty field required.
  • Minimum two (2) years in a Transplant Department.
  • Knowledge of the Joint Commission, CMS, UNOS, ODH regulations required.
  • Proficiency in selected Microsoft Office required.
  • Exhibits accuracy, integrity, and flexibility; is punctual and dependable.
  • Possesses organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
  • Demonstrates ability to work with self-direction and effectiveness under minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills; possesses group facilitation skills. Must be able to formulate reports and facilitate presentations internally and to outside agencies.
  • Current BLS required.
