Based from our Australian Head Office in Toowoomba, Queensland, this role of Transport Administrator will report to the Transport Manager, working a typical Monday to Friday week.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

An experienced administrator with a background in the transport industry would be desirable. This position will assist with Savanna being compliant with the national heavy vehicle laws, including fatigue management and procurement of permits for over-weight and over-dimension loads. This role provides hands-on administrative support to the transport department ensuring that all transport logistics and operational data is captured, recorded and maintained.
We are looking for a self-motivated team player with exceptional computer skills and attention to detail.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Team Player - with excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • IT skills– This role is required to use a range of software programs and will require intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Suite of Products.
  • A Strong work ethic – At times this role requires substantial concentration and productivity. A genuine care factor for the importance of the work and a drive to complete it in a timely but precise manner is a must.
  • Outstanding attention to detail– This role requires someone who can accurately enter all types of transport data into software systems quickly and accurately.
  • Permitting – The role will be required to acquire permits in a timely manner for oversized loads on a regular basis. Experience with the permitting process in Queensland is encourage
