Transport and Machinery Coordinator

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Transport and Machinery Coordinator to join our Procurement and Logistics team. The ideal candidate will manage vehicle movements, machinery, tools, and labor resources across multiple project sites. This role ensures efficient resource allocation, on-time deliveries, and adherence to safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education:
• Degree or diploma in logistics, transportation management, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience in transport coordination, machinery management, or logistics in construction or a similar industry.
• Skills and Knowledge:
• Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office and logistics software.
• Knowledge of transport management, fleet control, and health and safety regulations.

• Transport Management:
• Allocate and manage vehicles (trucks, vans, etc.) based on project requirements.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes for efficiency.
• Ensure vehicle compliance with safety and legal standards.
• Machinery and Tools Management:
• Oversee the issuing and return of machinery, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate maintenance and repairs.
• Monitor the condition of equipment and ensure timely returns.
• Labor Coordination:
• Align labor resources with vehicle availability and project needs.
• Liaise with site supervisors and project managers to optimize resource utilization.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Maintain accurate logs of vehicle movements, machinery allocation, and labor schedules.
• Generate periodic reports and track issues until resolved.
• Health, Safety, and Compliance:
• Conduct routine safety checks for vehicles and machinery.
• Ensure operations comply with health and safety regulations.
• Report and address any incidents promptly.
