POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Transport/Operations controller to join our dynamic team at World Courier Ground in Hythe- Kent for Europe.
The ideal candidate will support the day-to-day operations of our logistics services, ensuring that our clients’ needs are met with the highest standards of efficiency and reliability.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a transport office (preferred but not essential)
• Refrigerated transport experience preferred but not essential
• Second language preferred but not essential

Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong organizational, multitasking abilities and prioritization skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of logistics software and systems is a plus.

• Coordination and Scheduling: Assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of ground transportation operations.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate records of shipments, including documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Communication: Serve as a liaison between drivers, clients, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for transportation.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional support to clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Operational Support: Assist in the implementation of operational procedures and policies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Quality Control: Ensure all shipments meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Safety Compliance: Promote and adhere to safety standards and protocols within the workplace.
