We are currently looking to hire a Transport Graduate to join the Barry Group Team.

REQUIREMENTS:

A recent qualification in the areas of transport, logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field.
A strong passion for the transport industry and a desire to drive innovation.
Excellent problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities:

As a transport graduate you will work closely with the Transport Team, including the Transport Manager and Head of Department. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow within the field while gaining practical experience. Upon completion of our 24-month graduate programme, you will have an in-depth knowledge of all areas of our Transport Department. During the graduate programme you will complete both a Truck Driver CPC course & a Transport Manager CPC course.
You will gain exposure to all areas of the transport department, while also gaining valuable experience in:
Prioritising customer service, while recording and responding to queries.
Operational and delivery schedule planning and communicating with all drivers.
Maintenance reporting.
Building relationships with Customers and Colleagues.
Liaising with the other Departments to ensure efficient deliveries to customers.
Ensuring legal compliance and in particular working hours and Health & Safety.
Ensuring that Standard Operating Procedures are updated and are monitored on an ongoing basis.
