As a Transport Manager you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of our transportation fleet. Your focus will be on meticulous maintenance planning, regulatory adherence, and safety protocol implementation.
Position: Transport Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Due to continued growth and development, we are now looking for a Transport Manager to join us in our Transport Division, working to deliver real and effective solutions with our fleet of vehicles.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Vehicle Maintenance
- Develop and execute comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for the fleet. - Coordinate with both in-house maintenance teams and external service providers to ensure timely and efficient repairs and inspections. - Keep detailed records of all maintenance activities, including schedules and associated costs.
Adherence to Regulations
- Stay up to date with UK transportation regulations and standards, ensuring Lanes Group LTDs operations meet all local, national, and industry-specific requirements. - Conduct regular audits to verify alignment with safety and environmental standards. - Liaise with relevant authorities to address regulatory issues and stay informed of updates.
Safety Protocols
- Implement and enforce rigorous safety protocols to minimise accidents and ensure the well-being of our transportation staff. - Provide comprehensive training to drivers and staff on safety procedures and regulatory requirements. - Investigate and promptly report any accidents or incidents, taking corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Collaboration with Key Stakeholders
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth communication and alignment of objectives. - Engage with regulatory bodies, suppliers, and clients to address concerns, provide updates, and build positive relationships.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle inspections, maintenance, and regulatory adherence activities. - Generate reports for Lanes Group LTDs management, highlighting key performance indicators related to maintenance and regulatory standards.

Vendor Management*

• Collaborate with external vendors for vehicle maintenance and regulatory services, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality standards.
