ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

Barminco is currently seeking an experienced Transport Officer to join our Head Office in Hazelmere for an immediate start. This is a permanent, full-time position working 7am to 4pm. Reporting to the Transport Superintendent you will support the team with loading and unloading of general freight in accordance with company policies & procedures and adhering to all EHS&T guidelines.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:

• Previous experience within the transport and logistics industry
• Essential - hold a valid forklift ticket
• Working knowledge of the Chain of Responsibility
• Demonstrated proactive workplace health & safety behaviors
• A positive attitude toward work and is able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills, good communication, written and interpersonal skills

• Unload and load freight onto vehicles as required, including safe operation of Forklift
• Manually load transport containers with freight using safe manual handling techniques
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly
• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility legislation
• Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with company policy and procedures.
