Transport Operations Manager

We are seeking for an experienced Transport Operations Manager to join our team based in Regency Park.
Reporting to the State Manager, this hands on role is responsible for the safe, legal and cost-effective operational management of the depot. Your positive attitude, fast thinking and people leadership capabilities will shine in this role.

• Controlling and managing a superior local and linehaul service delivery to our clients
• Co-ordinate the inbound and outbound freight ensuring all collection and deliveries are done in a timely manner
• Manage Branch operations, labour and vehicle resources in order to achieve delivery and service objectives both local and interstate
• Manage and lead the operations personnel ensuring adherence to standard procedures
• Plan, manage and review all fleet repairs and visual maintenance
• Maintain a safe working environment for all personnel
• Comply with company policy and legislative requirements relation to Work Health and Safety, storage and handling of dangerous goods, traffic laws and Federal and State Government Regulations.
• Manage operational costs against budgets and targets as set by the State Manager.
• Manage and maintain property, plant and site security.
