Shift Pattern:- Monday to Friday 8:00pm to 6:00am
Uniserve, a leading name in the logistics industry, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Transport Shift Manager to oversee our South Kirkby Depot. As the Transport Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management of all Drivers and Admin staff at the South Kirkby depot. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards of excellence.

Responsibilities:
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring that planned routes are as cost-effective as possible, while complying with the Working Time Directive and Drivers Hours regulations.
- Planning, directing, and controlling the activities of the transport planning team.
- Generating optimal transport plans and approving transport routes.
- Monitoring transport management software.
- Collaborating with branch teams and customers on delivery logistics and addressing any issues.
- Serving as a crucial link between customers and operational teams.
- Developing cost-efficient operational transport plans daily, using customer-specific IT software.
- Ensuring that the department consistently delivers a top-notch service to customers through meticulous planning.
- Maintaining strict adherence to budget constraints.
- Guaranteeing departmental compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Assisting in project work to optimise schedules and synergies.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and characteristics:
- Previous experience in a distribution environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of transport legislation.
- Proficiency in IT, particularly in Excel and Word.
- A self-driven and highly motivated work ethic.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
- Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate the depot’s 24/7 operating hours.
- The ability to meet deadlines and achieve targets consistently.
