Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Transportation Analyst (Entry-Level) based out of Seattle, WA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Minimum 1-year experience in domestic and international supply chain logistics operations
  • Experience utilizing good judgment, a sense of urgency and have demonstrated high commitment to high standards of ethics, regulatory compliance, customer service and business integrity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience
  • SAP Experience

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED and typically 3 or more years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities:

  • Collects data to support carrier performance and assists with contract requirements.
  • Prepare documentation to support routing and logistics functional requirements
  • Analyze carrier performance data, including cycle time and costs, and provide insights for business process improvement.
  • Assists in the maintenance of import and export control programs. Assists with the preparation and transmittal of export documentation.
  • Interfaces with freight forwarders and carriers on standard shipments. Interfaces with internal compliance organizations to ensure compliance.
  • Observes investigation, preparation, and submission of loss and damage claims to carriers.
  • Manage inventory from supplier to the Pool
  • Review all parts & have the ability to identify issues while the parts are in transit and know who to contact to get them resolved
  • Knows the difference between a Freight Forwarder, Integrated Carrier and Broker
  • Can Identify the tracking #, Carrier and can track shipments
