The Transportation Analyst will be key role in ensuring the success and operational excellence of the Alcon European Surgical transportation network. The associate will be a Subject Matter Expert in all areas of European SX secondary transportation, focused on analysis, projects and continuous improvement.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Lead / Support surgical freight initiatives
  • Be the SPOC / Project Lead for several transportation topics
  • Budget: Support with the preparation of the annual carrier budget + monitoring
  • Oversee the overall shipment flows

• Cross collaboration with manufacturing sites, 3PL’s providers, and distribution centers on transfers and transportation needs between sites •Interface between Transportation SX and Global Transportation, APL Supply Chain HUB, EL Supply Chain / Logistics Operation, Warehouses, IT, etc.

  • Attend weekly orchestrator calls with the countries and stakeholders from other functions (S&OP, WH&D, Customer Operations) / lead and coordinate the transportation topics

• Collaborate with our procurement team for RFQs and ad-hoc freight cost analysis •Perform “ad-hoc” analysis and on-going statistics•Active participation in continuous improvement process (CIP) by completing CIP projects to drive savings towards financial targets

  • Measure & improve service performance (on-time, OTIF…)
