This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Transportation Analyst I for our Hawthorne, NY office.

Your Impact

  • Assist the HVTMC and NYSDOT in informing the public and partner agencies on the impact of weather, construction, maintenance, and other activities;
  • Ensure that work zone setup meet NYSDOT standards and conform to policies;
  • Report on and ensure that the Department’s externa condition reporting systems (Openreach and 511NY) are timely and accurate;
  • Collect, analyze and report on HVTMC performance;Assist in HVTMC asset management and recordkeeping; conduct TMC/TSMO related studies/investigations, assist in ITS scope development, and work with contractors to correct reporting deficiencies in TMC systems.

  • Who You Are

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 0-2 years of experience as a Transportation Analyst Computer/Software including MS Office applications, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Personnel management
  • Work Zone Traffic Control design and/or implementation.
  • Data analytics including economic evaluation, systems evaluation andpredictability/performance evaluation
  • Geographic Information System (GIS), asset management, basic software development
  • Mapping (ArcMap, ArcView, ArcGIS, or equivalent)
  • Oral and written communication.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
  • Construction inspection, supervisions, or management with experience in roadwork and workzone traffic control.

  • Working and getting along with others in a team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET)

    Compensation:
    Expected Salary (all locations): $35,800 - $64,300
    WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
