Tetra Tech is currently looking to add a Transportation Asset Manager (Pavement Management) to join our team in Edmonton. This position offers the opportunity to work with a team of asset management specialists focusing on the development and growth of our asset management services. Tetra Tech provides asset management services to government agency and commercial clients with a focus on transportation asset management including roadway and airport pavements, roadway and airport gravel surfaced infrastructure, active transportation networks, drainage structures (culverts), geotechnical assets, and railroad infrastructure. Recently, we have completed projects incorporating the impacts of climate change and asset resiliency into asset management and planning. Our asset management group is supported by our transportation infrastructure data collection group, operating several mobile data collection platforms including world class non-destructive testing technologies (FWD, HWD, high speed inertial profilers with forward looking and 360 digital video and LiDAR, Class 1 profilers, Road Radar™).
The successful candidate will work with our team of experts on a wide variety of asset management projects, providing asset management solutions to our diverse portfolio of projects and clients! This position will focus on asset management systems development, project management and project delivery, while supporting our business development and growth opportunities. This role would be suited to an individual that thrives in a hands-on, direct involvement in all key areas of their portfolio. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, engaged environment and want to be a key stakeholder in all aspects of any project.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 10 years of related experience; all experience levels will be considered for this position.
  • Experience working in civil infrastructure asset management, for example; roads and associated infrastructure, rails and associated infrastructure, ports and airports, and associated infrastructure.
  • Experience working in asset management software environments; examples include Cartegraph, AgileAssets, Bentley, Deighton dTIMS, Probit AIM4.0, Esri Roads and Highways, PAVER, etc.
  • Experience working with data analytic software environments, including PowerBI, Tableau.
  • Experience or familiarity with Risk and Reliability-based engineering.
  • Experience or familiarity with engineering economics (Life-Cycle Cost Analysis).
  • Working knowledge of asset condition predictive modelling tools.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to provide high-quality deliverables on time, in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical and proposal writing skills.
  • Candidate would have a minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering, but a Master’s degree would be ideal.
  • Enrollment or eligible for enrollment with provincial governing body (APEGA).

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our project teams to provide a high level of service to our clients.
  • Work with out project managers and asset management team to contribute to project setup and execution.
  • Demonstrate an aptitude and ability for project management, project delivery, and business development.
  • Demonstrate inventiveness in the areas of asset condition modelling, asset management software programming, and asset management program development.
  • Project delivery, including report preparation and client meetings.
  • Show resourcefulness in identifying and resolving complex problems, modifying plans as conditions change, and developing recommendations for improvement.
  • Show a willingness to learn and adapt new methodologies or processes in the field of asset management.
