YOUR ROLE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transportation Coordinator to join our EMEA Transportation team in Hamburg, Germany. In this role, you will be a key player in driving both local and regional improvement initiatives, focusing on the procurement and coordination of freight and logistics services for ADM’s business units across the EMEA region. Your work will be crucial in ensuring the delivery of competitive internal services, as you will leverage ADM’s industry presence to achieve favorable freight rates, coordinate strategic efforts, and promote the transfer of best practices and process standardization. Your ability to organize and optimize the logistics structure will be essential in supporting ADM’s diverse operational needs and contributing to the overall efficiency of our transportation network.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Head of Transportation EMEA, your main duties will include:
- Advance Improvement Initiatives: Steer the design and implementation of local and cross-divisional improvement initiatives within Transportation & Supply Chain.
- Manage Regional Logistics Relationships: Coordinate and manage functional relationships with logistics teams across the EMEA region, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
- Enhance Processes and Systems: Promote and pilot the continuous improvement efforts in logistics and supply chain processes and systems, driving operational efficiency.
- Conduct Procurement and Negotiations: Oversee procurement and lead negotiations for freight and logistics services across all transport modes, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Foster Strategic Partnerships: Build, foster, and maintain strong working relationships with external logistics providers, the sourcing community, and internal stakeholders, including trade, controlling, IT, and management.
- Set and Monitor KPIs: Define, establish, and monitor logistics KPIs to ensure performance meets or exceeds expectations.
