Job Description:
We currently have an opening for an Intermediate Transportation Engineer in our Kelowna office. This position will focus on the design and implementation of highways, streets, roads, intersections, roundabouts, pathways, and active transportation corridors.

Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Designing transportation infrastructure, including but not limited to feasibility studies, conceptual design, preliminary design, functional design, and detailed design.
  • Acting as Project Engineer/ Manager on assignments with assistance of Senior Engineers.
  • Civil 3D Modelling.
  • Coordinating technicians and designers to ensure that drawings are accurately prepared.
  • Preparing written technical reports.
  • Performing construction administration/ inspection.
  • Preparing cost estimates and contract documents.
  • Performing Project Management tasks including communications with clients, managing schedules, budgets, and reporting requirements.
  • Mentoring junior staff.
  • Participating in marketing strategies and business development with clients to procure business, including writing proposals.
  • Communicating effectively and clearly; both verbally and written.
  • Coordinating subconsultants’ activities on projects.
  • Executing projects in accordance with company guidelines and standards.

Job Requirements:

What you will bring:

  • An undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post secondary institution.
  • Registered or Eligible to register with EGBC as a P.Eng.
  • 5+ years of transportation design experience.
  • Relevant experience in the undertaking of design, specifications, cost estimating, proposals, tendering, and construction.
  • Proven technical skills.
  • Committed team player.
  • Track record in managing clients and developing client relationships.
  • Strong communication and organization skills.

The salary range for this position is $85,280.00 to $135,200.00 and is commensurate with experience relative to this position.
