YOUR CAPABILITIES AND CREDENTIALS
- Knowledge of applicable design standards
- Outstanding communication, documentation, and proposal writing skills
- Past experience in contract administration is an asset
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 6 years of experience in the transportation design engineering field preferably with local experience in the consulting industry
- P.Eng designation or ability to register
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Responsibilities:
- Design integrated municipal roadway, provincial highway, transit facilities, and active transportation facilities projects for clients in the province and for other major municipalities in the province
- Assist project managers in delivering large projects to our clients
- Direct, organize, and control work to administer small to medium-sized contracts
- Perform document control. Assist in project financial setup and maintenance
- Work with the PM in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP’s, tenders, budgets, cash flows, and preliminary schedules
- Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor project schedules
- Provide direction to engineering staff in the preparation of designs, design drawings, contract documents, engineering specifications, and cost estimates for municipal road and highway engineering work
- Prepare correspondence, engineering reports, proposals, expressions of interest, specifications and meeting minutes
- Ability to lead a team of professionals on projects, as well as liaise with clients and sub-consultants
- Provide project guidance and mentoring for junior staff
- Provide Quality Management reviews by ensuring corporate policies are followed and documented
