Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of road/highway design and transportation planning projects.
  • Prepare engineering designs and drawings using computer aided design tools.
  • Prepare construction contract documents and engineering specifications.
  • Perform transportation engineering analysis and quantification tasks.
  • Complete civil construction project inspections.
  • Coordination of the delivery of transportation projects with the internal and external project team.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology.
  • Eligibility for E.I.T., P.Eng. or C.E.T. designation is an asset.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in roadway design and/or transportation planning.
  • Knowledgeable in the application of transportation engineering principles and design standards.
  • Knowledgeable in the application of computer aided design programs including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Knowledge in traffic modeling software (HCS, Synchro, VISSIM or EMME/3) would be an asset.
  • Civil construction project experience would be an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to generate high quality work.
  • Ability to work both individually and as a member of a larger team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
