POSITION SUMMARY
The Transportation Operations Supervisor III is primarily responsible for providing effective transportation services to customers, and manage the department’s resources and work processes cost effectively and efficiently in the attainment of customer service and delivery goals.
ALONG WITH THE FOLLOWING SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong leadership and analytical skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
- MS Office proficiency necessary; Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Direct experience with staff scheduling in a variable work volume environment
Responsibilities:
- Supervising and managing drivers including training, development, coaching and performance appraisals in area of responsibility
- Scheduling drivers and verification of hours worked
- Monitoring service levels to ensure maximum levels of customer satisfaction
- Assisting dispatchers and planners in troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day issues and activities
- Ensure goals are met and exceeded in the arrears of safety, quality, productivity and people measurement
- Promoting Health & Safety guidelines and operational policies and procedures
