YOUR CAPABILITIES AND CREDENTIALS

  • Ability to register with CTTAM as an Associate in pursuit of the C.E.T. designation
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and MicroStation software for bridge / structural drafting and design
  • Ability to visualize and project 3D objects into 2D views (and vice-versa)
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and to work in a group environment
  • Quality and Drawing Management Systems

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Technical College Diploma in Structural Engineering Technology (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a structural CAD role preferably in bridge design
    Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates engineering drawings in AutoCAD or MicroStation, based on sketches and other design information provided by others
  • Ensures that drawings are prepared based on specific project drafting standards
  • Ensures accuracy of scale and confirm the accuracy of geometric information presented on drawings
  • Performs quantity takeoffs based on drawing information
