POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Trauma Program Manager to support excellence in trauma care and improve patient outcomes within a healthcare facility. This role focuses on coordinating all aspects of trauma services, including patient care oversight, maintaining trauma registry records, ensuring quality standards, and delivering educational programs for trauma care staff. The successful candidate will handle department operations, such as staffing and budgeting, while leading quality improvements in trauma services.
Key Responsibilities:

- Implement and evaluate trauma care processes, including all stages of patient care from prevention through rehabilitation.

- Maintain trauma registry records and generate Quality Improvement (QI) reports.

- Develop and lead training programs for staff involved in trauma care, addressing preventative and direct care strategies.

- Oversee day-to-day operations, contribute to staffing and budget decisions, and spearhead quality initiatives for trauma services.

- Monitor trauma patients’ progress during hospitalization and provide clinical support where necessary.
Position Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in emergency or critical care, with a demonstrated commitment to trauma care.

- Licenses/Certifications:

- Active California RN License

- BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications

- ENPC and TNCC Certifications (or obtain within six months of hire; Instructor level preferred)
Physical and Environmental Conditions:

- Ability to sit for prolonged periods and lift or maneuver up to 25 lbs.

- Regular exposure to potential biohazards and infectious diseases.

- Must be adaptable to high-pressure situations and emergency/crisis conditions.
