JOB DESCRIPTION: TRAVELING REALITY CAPTURE FIELD TECHNICIAN
The Coast 2 Coast Field Technician used advanced technologies to document and compile comprehensive as-built survey data for nationwide renovation projects. This unique travel-centric opportunity allows you to spend multiple weeks at a location, and then enjoy time off at home before your next project(s). If you possess a strong technical acumen, and a desire to see the country we may be the right fit for you.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess strong verbal/written communication skills, the ability to produce work independently, and effectively coordinate with team members.
- Proactive and organized, the candidate effectively manages multiple concurrent projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and meeting deadlines (including taking advantage of overtime opportunities).
- Must be at least 21 with a valid driver’s license and live near a major airport to facilitate travel. Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening (including random screening during employment).
Responsibilities:
Be an adventurer:
- Travel across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean to capture Architectural data on location.
- Assist with a wide variety of projects by adapting to different scopes, client standards, and software requirements.
Be enthusiastic and capable:
- Support Architect, Engineer, and Construction (AEC) clients in renovation planning by documenting property conditions in 2D, 3D, and 360-degree using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Collaborate with project managers, survey teams, and processors during the project lifecycle to understand the scope of work and assemble well-crafted survey reports.
Be cutting-edge:
- Responsibly use reality capture tools, including laser scanners and distance meters; laptops and iPads; cameras and smartphones; as well as drones and other emergent technologies.
- Participate in the Coast 2 Coast learning culture by obtaining new skills to capture and document existing conditions using the latest equipment and software.
