Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assistant Treasurer, you add value and are energized by key areas of oversight such as:
- Providing support to management in the development, maintenance and operation of accurate financial forecast modelling (Monthly and daily cash flow, fuel deferral account balances, carbon credit generation, etc.)
- Providing critical analysis, options, implications and recommendations to Treasury management for strategic and operating decisions
- Performing daily Treasury operations and monitors liquidity requirements are being met
- Researching and identifying options and providing recommendations regarding financial transactions (derivative, investments, debt, alternative revenue sources) to mitigate financial risk and optimize financial performance
- Ensuring that all transactions and Treasury activities undertaken are compliant with internal policy/controls, contract obligations and financial agreements (MTI, Credit Agreement, etc.)
- Promoting and supporting the development and implementation of Treasury policies and parameters, ensuring that they are current and providing advice and recommendation for changes
