The EMEA Treasury Analyst will support the Treasury Manager EMEA in managing cash flow, month-end accounting, FX accounting, and banking relationships for Cochlear in the UK/EMEA region.

The Opportunity
Cochlear has an opportunity for a full-time Treasury Analyst EMEA based in Addlestone, United Kingdom. In this role, the successful Treasury Analyst EMEA will support the Treasury Manager in managing treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, month-end accounting, and FX management, ensuring optimal treasury risk management for the UK and broader EMEA region.

Responsibilities include:

  • Month-end treasury accounting and posting of FX hedging transactions.
  • Managing intercompany journals, bank account reconciliations, and treasury operational journals.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and policies for FX risk management.
  • Developing relationships with transactional banking contacts and managing UK/EMEA bank accounts.
  • Administering transaction banking systems, interest rates, and fees.

About You

To add value to Cochlear in this role, you’ll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Experience or knowledge of preparing cash forecasts and cash flow analyses.
  • Knowledge of banking systems and transactional banking products.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • 3+ years Treasury experience in a corporate or banking environment or strong financial accounting background with an interest in treasury
  • Minimal: Bachelor of Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • Desirable: ACCA qualification or other relevant post graduate finance qualification

Ideal:

  • Experience with Treasury Management Systems.
  • Understanding of and experience in hedging, bank account management, and international funds flows.
  • Previous experience working and influencing in a global matrix organization.
