OVERVIEW:
Pembina Pipeline Corporation is seeking an Analyst, Treasury Operations to join our Financial Services Unit (FSU).
Reporting to the Manager, Treasury, the successful candidate will oversee daily cash management and banking operations.
FSU plays a pivotal role in guiding the company’s major decisions by providing a comprehensive analysis of our financial health, both short-term and long-term. This includes evaluating credit and market risks, weighted average cost of capital, and capital market opportunities to drive growth, such as financing strategies and M&A opportunities. The team is dedicated to understanding the current and future financial landscape across various scenarios, assessing their potential impact on external stakeholders, including shareholders and rating agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will be self-motivated and excels in a team-focused, fast-paced, dynamic and deadline driven environment.
Additional qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or another quantitative discipline;
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in treasury, accounting or finance related roles;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Aptitude for implementing or learning new software;
- Advanced MS Excel skills;
- Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (“ERP”) systems an asset;

Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily treasury reports for Pembina and each of its joint ventures;
- Monitor daily banking activities for over 150 accounts, including clearing cheques and liaising with Pembina’s administration bank to address issues related to accounts;
- Prepare monthly schedules, reconciliations and journal entries related to treasury activities;
- Complete requirements for bank account management including opening and closing account documents;
- Complete treasury related payments, including interest and dividends payments;
- Maintain and update treasury procedure documents;
- Identify and recommend improvements to existing treasury processes to enhance efficiencies and controls;
- Collaborate with various departments to support treasury functions.
- Participate in corporate finance activities as required, such as mergers and acquisitions, and related integration tasks;
- Support treasury projects including software implementation; and
- Respond to ad-hoc requests.
