The centralized treasury department in Basel ensures optimal financing and appropriate liquidity of the Group and its affiliates. It is responsible for managing the financial assets and liabilities for the entire Roche Group. Within the treasury department, the Treasury Operations team manages the Roche InHouse Bank with a variety of banking services for the affiliates. The Team is responsible for master data maintenance and transaction processing on the global treasury SAP system.
The role focuses on the continuous improvement and expansion of Roche’s InHouse Bank for payments and other settlements (e.g. custody) for low to moderate complexity treasury cases. The candidate will assist the InHouse Bank team with a focus on Diabetes Care treasury, ensuring alignment and/or improvement of operational and integration aspects.
Responsibilities include Diabetes Care Treasury operations, review PDC setups, and prepare future reintegration into PTR/Aspire. Additionally, the role provides any necessary support, including administrative tasks, to enable efficient and effective treasury; alignment and cross departmental support within and outside the core treasury teams is expected. The candidate should have a strong understanding and commitment to the Roche Finance Framework, mindset, and behaviours.
Furhter key responsibilities include:
- Assist the In House Bank team with ongoing projects and take the lead on Diabetes Care treasury-related initiatives, including adapting to new regulations, integrating with other finance areas, and automating processes.
- Support Cash Management and InHouse bank operators with various tasks such as payment creation and monitoring, invoice processing, intercompany foreign exchange transactions, account clearings, and daily master data checks.
- Support various projects on an ad hoc basis in alignment with the Core Treasury Strategy.
- Support the centralised month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Further development into other InHouse bank tasks will be considered.
- Testing preparation and coordination for Treasury InHouse bank projects
- Coordination with the banks
- Create & Update SOPs
- Hypercare after go-live
