Job Description:
The person hired for the position of Treasury Specialist - Payment Operations will be a member of the Payments COE – Americas team.
This role will be responsible for processing manual payments for various 3M businesses, ensure compliance in performing daily activities, and perform issue resolution for payment rejection.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Analyst will be part of a team working on:
  • Timely and accurate execution of payment transactions and fund transfers
  • Issue resolution for payment rejection
  • Partner with relevant stakeholders across functions
  • Operate process controls and highlights potential defects
  • Perform daily activities always in accordance with legal requirements, internal regulation compliance
  • Perform adhoc responsibilities as assigned by team leader
  • Approving payments in the bank platforms
  • Accurate and compliant execution of activities in alignment with policies, segregation of duties, global financial standards and procedures, and SOX controls.
  • Financial analysis in support of treasury objectives.
  • Continuous improvements across treasury business processes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or higher from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a financial role or in a business analysis role
  • Advanced English level written and spoken
  • Advanced Portuguese level written and spoken

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AS400, S2K Experience
  • Previous experience working in Treasury environment or with banking processes
  • Analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal, in English, Spanish and portuguese
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft tools: Excel, PowerApps, PowerBi and PowerPoint.
  • Collaborative team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Considers implications beyond own area across functions, businesses, countries
  • Demonstrates ability to think “outside the box” and embrace change
  • Proven problem solver and process improvement mindset
  • Recognize opportunities to drive improvements and taking the initiative to deliver
  • Knowledge and experience with current finance practices and policies
