JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you passionate about the outdoors, skilled in arboricultural work and landscape maintenance, and interested in a role that lets you make an impact on beautiful landscapes? Join us as a Tree & Landscape Technician and enjoy a mix of climbing and landscaping work in a supportive, inclusive environment. This full-time, Monday-to-Friday position balances 2–3 days of manageable climbing (typically up to 30 feet, with occasional climbs up to 50 feet) and 2–3 days of landscape maintenance tasks. Whether you’re pruning, planting, or enhancing landscapes, you’ll be contributing to projects that make outdoor spaces thrive.
In this role, you’ll lead a small crew during climbing tasks, ensuring safety and quality work while guiding others. As part of our team, you’ll also take on general landscape maintenance, including lawn and garden care, decorative pruning, and providing top-notch care to our clients’ spaces. Winter tasks may include anti-ice and snow removal, separately scheduled and compensated.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven climbing experience (Arborist experience)
• Horticulture experience is an asset.
• ISA certification is an asset but not required.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in landscaping.
• Leadership skills during climbing tasks, with an ability to inspire teamwork and ensure safety.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Enthusiasm and physical fitness and the ability to perform outdoor labor.(Ability to stand, walk, bend and stoop for extended periods in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks)

• Safely climb and prune trees and hedges up to 30 feet, with occasional climbs up to 50 feet as needed.
• Lead a small crew during climbing tasks, ensuring adherence to safety and work quality standards.
• Perform general landscaping tasks such as garden lawn care, hedge trimming, tree pruning, planting, and decorative pruning.
• Participate in anti-ice and snow removal as needed to keep outdoor spaces safe and accessible.
• Operate and maintain landscaping and climbing equipment with attention to safety.
• Operate Chainsaws and Chipper in a safe way.
