Description:

This is an excellent opportunity for band 3 Maternity Support Workers to join our maternity team in the dynamic and fast-paced Triage department.
We are looking to recruit as we develop and expand our Triage service. This is an exciting chance for caring and enthusiastic support workers to work with us as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide compassionate, personalised and safe care - making a real difference to experience and outcomes. This role requires someone who can work well using initiative, adapt to changing clinical needs and demands, and who is responsible and reliable. You will work under the guidance and direct/indirect supervision of Registered health professionals, so must be a motivated individual who can also work well as part of a team.
You will provide clinical and non-clinical support to the Triage team and offer physical and emotional care to pregnant service users and those in the postnatal period who attend the maternity triage department.
You will assist the midwife and multi-disciplinary team (MDT) in providing individualised, woman-centered care through physical, social, and psychological support to women and their families attending Maternity Triage throughout the pregnancy, labour, and postnatal journey.
You will provide clinical and non-clinical support, and implement basic care packages, undertaking delegated clinical procedures under the guidance and direction of the Triage Midwife and practitioners from the MDT.
