Envirofield are looking for a Trials Officer based at their site in Witchampton, Dorset. This is a full-time permanent role, with a Monday to Friday shift pattern as well as overtime on offer during the peak farming season.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for someone with experience in the agriculture industry or some basic knowledge of the industry in general. Experience using a variety of machinery is preferred, but not essential due to the training that we will provide. Like most roles in agriculture, this role will be predominantly based outside, so if you’re applying you must be an individual who is happy working in the great outdoors!
Whilst this role is site-based, travel to other sites may be required later down the line, therefore candidates applying must have a driving licence too.

THE ROLE:

Reporting directly to the Regional Trials Manager, the successful candidate will be involved with all aspects of carrying out field trials including site selection, preparation of products, drilling, application and harvest. The majority of this role will involve using machinery on our site in order to carry out field trials, however, this a varied role with a mixture of responsibilities.

Additional duties may include:

• Data collection – trial assessments including plant counts, weed, pest and disease identification.
• Harvesting of trials using specialist plot combines, including sample collection & processing.
• Soil sampling predominantly for SMN testing.
