Responsibilities:
- Provision of clerking support to the work of the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service teams within Glasgow and Hamilton, ensuring the effective operation of the jurisdiction in which you are placed.
- Preparing for and facilitating hearings remotely by teleconference or video conference – opening up phone lines/ WebEx Webinars and liaising with members prior to parties joining the call.
- Preparing for and Facilitating in-person hearings – opening up tribunal rooms on arrival and liaising with venue organisers and dealing with any facilities issues and being the point of contact for any venue assistants, raising any issues with team-Leaders if required. The Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service cover the whole of Scotland and travel throughout Scotland to hearings will be required on occasions. If required, overnight accommodation can be provided in line with the SCTS Travel and Subsistence Policy.
- Carrying out the relevant Health and Safety checks in the venues where you are facilitating in-person hearings - completing a Dynamic Risk Assessment and raising any matters in regards to health and safety with management and reporting this on the online reporting tool where necessary
