Description:
TRUST SIXTH FORM TRANSFORMATION LEAD
Salary: L20 – L25 (£79,475 - £89,830 pro rata, per annum)
Contract: Permanent
Start Date: January 2025
Unity Schools Partnership is a Multi Academy Trust of 39 schools, with approval to open four further special and primary schools in the near future. The ambition of Unity Schools Partnership is to achieve a step change in the quality of education provided by primary, secondary and special schools and that its schools are achieving top quartile performance by 2028. The trust expects its work to be characterised by ethical leadership, an ambition for improvement at pace and the expectation that remarkable change can happen.
This exciting new role will work with Headteachers and senior leaders in each of the sixth forms in Unity Schools Partnership to build on the launch of the Unity 6 offer. The four sixth forms are located in Felixstowe, Haverhill, Romford and Sudbury. This role will also be part of the essential team leading on our innovative Unity &iLearn 6 iPad project which provides the opportunity for learning to accelerate within and outside of the classroom and links between the schools to deepen further.
You will work with each school’s leadership team to increase the size of the sixth forms and set and achieve high standards and outcomes for all Level 3 academic and vocational subjects, share best practice between schools and subjects and drive improvement. You will also provide support and guidance to teachers and leaders and help them develop their skills and knowledge ensuring high quality personal development delivers an excellent sixth form experience for all students.
This is an opportunity to support our Sixth Form leaders to have a clear vision and passion for preparing our students for their future pathways, whether that is higher education, apprenticeships or employment. You will foster a culture of aspiration and achievement, where students are encouraged to pursue their goals and ambitions and have access to a range of opportunities and experiences that enrich their learning and personal development.
We care deeply about inclusive working practices and diverse teams. If you’d prefer to work part-time or as a job-share, we’ll facilitate this wherever we can – whether to help you meet other commitments or to help you strike a great work-life balance. We’re keen to ensure we’re designing an organisation that works for everyone, so we particularly encourage applications from different under-represented groups.
Application Process: For an informal discussion or to find out more about the role, please contact Stephen Astley, Executive Director of Education (Secondary) on sastley@unitysp.co.uk or calling 07711 486791.
