Description:
KO WAI MĀTOU | ABOUT US
Public Trust is New Zealand’s largest trustee services organisation, providing specialist advice on a range of legal, financial, investment, trust, and estate management services to individuals, families, and businesses. As a purpose-driven, values-led organisation, we help people protect what matters most to them and their whanau. Whether it be planning how they want to pass on what matters most to them - their music collection, family heirlooms, or KiwiSaver savings - or making sure their wishes are carried out after they’re gone, Public Trust is here to help.
We are seeking applications from people interested in becoming a Trustee in our New Plymouth Customer Centre.
KO WAI KOE | ABOUT YOU
If you are empathetic, can build relationships with a wide range of people, and have an understanding and/or interest in estate planning or financial services, then you could be the perfect fit for our well-established team of Trustees. We’re looking for applicants with the following skills and attributes:
- Exposure to estate administration. This might be exposure to relationship management and administration of client contracts (eg. trusts, agency clients) or it could be you’ve managed the estate of a loved one or gone through a similar experience of looking after someone matters
- Interest and/or experience in working with communities including experience working in social services, health organisations or support services
- Demonstrated ability to build a rapport, listen, and show empathy with customers and colleagues
- Experience working with customers during moments that matter in their life
- Have received consistently high or improving customer feedback
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised, problem solve, show initiative and collaborate with colleagues
Public Trust has a purpose-built learning and professional development framework that supports individuals to become trustee experts and progress in their career. Once you join, you’ll be guided through a series of formal learning and on-the-job experiences, supported by experts in the field. As you become more qualified, the more you’ll earn, and the more you’ll contribute to New Zealanders who need you
Responsibilities:
The Trustee position is an end-to-end relationship management role for a portfolio of clients. This is a key role in ensuring the effective running of the New Plymouth Customer Centre by being a positive contributor, in addition to providing a great customer experience.
You will be the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of customers, offering a consistent and outstanding level of customer service. You will provide support to the Principal and Senior Trustees while contributing to the team culture by modelling our values and working towards our strategic aspirations.
