Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
The Downer Transport & Infrastructure operation are busy delivering the SH1 Tirau to Waiouru (T2W) Project and are seeking an experienced TTM Supervisor to oversee the projects Traffic Management activities.

The T2W Project is an accelerated road renewal programme where 4 years of work will be delivered over a 16-month timeframe. This work will reduce pesky potholes and increase road user safety for years to come! As TTM Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations by organising, directing and managing TM crews and activities. You will also:

  • Supervise the Traffic Management teams to deliver Downer standards
  • Maintain positive supply partner and subcontractor relationships
  • Collaborate effectively with the Client, Stakeholder and Customer
  • Ensure targets including quality, safety, productivity, and profit are metPromote a Zero Harm culture mitigating any risks to your team or the public

  • This is a Full-Time, Fixed-Term opportunity with an expected end date in December 2025.

NGA PŪKENGA MATUA | IMPORTANT SKILLS

It is essential for you to have some knowledge and experience in the Traffic Management and construction sections. You will be able to demonstrate your supervisory experience with responsibility and accountability or staff, plant and return on investment. Furthermore, you will have the following:

  • Class 2 Full New Zealand driver’s licence
  • Cat A&B STMS (Practicing)
  • Excellent verbal, written and computer skills with an ability to effectively communicate at all levels
  • An understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental requirementsWorking knowledge of COPTTM and how Traffic Management relates to our clients work activities
