About you and this role
We are offering an opportunity for a Turnaround (TAR) Project Manager (m/f/d) at our Stade, Germany site! In this role, you will manage recurring maintenance shutdowns or outages (turnarounds) in our chemical manufacturing plants, both for single plant outages and across the integrated site production envelope. You will be part of the site turnaround team, interfacing with Operations, Maintenance, and Purchasing. You will use Dow’s Platinum Turnaround Work Process to ensure the appropriate and timely involvement of all functions critical to the success of the turnaround.
As the Turnaround Project Manager, you will collaborate with regional and global resources to enhance the use of digital Turnaround tools and increase Turnaround productivity.
Responsibilities
- Successfully prepare, execute, and close turnarounds.
- Lead the TA Steering team to align operations, projects, maintenance, and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) functions throughout the entire TA cycle.
- Lead the core TA team to ensure effective front-end loading, planning, scheduling, cost management, material management, and resource management.
- Drive scope list development and work inventory management.
- Develop and maintain turnaround schedules and budgets, controlling the cost and timing to meet business and site needs.
- Ensure critical path management by integrating operations, projects, and maintenance activities.
- Enable proper risk management.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Purchasing to drive an effective purchasing and contracting strategy.
- Manage the implementation of digital tools in close collaboration with the regional and global Digital TA organization.
Qualifications
- Profound knowledge of global turnaround processes and their measurements.
- Expertise in maintenance, including relevant processes and technologies.
- Extensive experience in project management.
- Comprehensive understanding of safety, environmental, and workplace policies and legislation.
- Fluency in German and English.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and coordination skills, along with strong interpersonal and indirect leadership abilities.
- Solid knowledge of information technology, economic evaluation, and financial principles.
